Welcome to Naam Jap Tracker (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how our team collects, handles, safeguards, and discloses information when you download, install, and use the Naam Jap Tracker Android mobile application.

We honor the deeply personal and sacred nature of mantra repetition and spiritual reflection (Sadhana). Our application is engineered from the ground up on privacy-conscious principles: practitioners can count chants completely anonymously as guests, and optional cloud-backed capabilities are provided with full transparency, free from intrusive surveillance or aggressive data harvesting.

2. Information Users Voluntarily Provide

Depending on the optional features you choose to engage, we may receive information that you voluntarily submit:

• Optional Google Sign-In Profile: If you voluntarily connect your Google Account to back up your sadhana progress across devices, we receive basic public profile information provided by Google (your display name, verified email address, and profile photo avatar URL).
• Pooja Seva & Devotional Bookings (Optional): Where devotional seva or pooja arrangements are made available within the App, users who choose to request a seva may voluntarily submit devotee names, Gotra, Nakshatra (birth star), prayer intention (Sankalp), preferred date, and a contact phone number or email address solely to facilitate the ceremony and transmit booking confirmations.
• Payment Verification Details (Optional): If you participate in voluntary Pooja Seva contributions, you may provide payment transaction references (such as UPI reference numbers, transaction IDs, or optional payment confirmation screenshots) to verify receipt of the contribution.
• Customer Support Communications: Any information you include when communicating with our support and grievance redressal team at contact@naamjaptracker.com.

3. Information Generated Through App Usage

As you use the App, tracking records related to your meditation practice are generated:

• Chanting Data: Cumulative Naam counts, completed Malas (1 Mala = 108 chants), active chanting session timestamps, daily target settings, selected mantras, custom mantras you add, and consecutive daily practice streak counters.
• Technical Diagnostics: General device information such as device model, operating system version (Android), application version, interface language preference (English/Hindi), audio/haptic preferences, and anonymized crash logs used strictly to ensure app performance and fix bugs.

4. Guest Usage and Optional Google Sign-In

Unrestricted Guest Mode: You can use the chanting counter, audio chimes, tactile bead vibrations, target counters, history, and statistics completely as a guest. You are never required to provide an email address, phone number, name, or password to count your Naam.

Optional Google Sign-In: For practitioners who wish to protect their long-term chanting milestones across device upgrades or switch between multiple devices, Google Sign-In is offered as an optional convenience. When you sign in, your account identifier connects your chanting history with your private profile for cloud backup.

5. Local Storage and Cloud Synchronization

On-Device Storage: All chanting counts, streak data, and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure local storage databases. This allows the application to function 100% offline without needing an active internet connection.

Cloud Synchronization: When you voluntarily sign in with your Google account, your sadhana statistics (total counts, completed malas, history, and streak milestones) are securely synchronized with secure cloud infrastructure (hosted via Google Cloud / Firebase). This guarantees that if your device is lost or replaced, your spiritual practice record is safely preserved. Chanting records are private to your authenticated account.

6. Optional Pooja Seva Bookings and Related Information

Participation in temple pooja sevas or devotional rituals is entirely elective. Any spiritual sankalp details provided by the user (such as family names, Gotra, and prayer intentions) are shared solely with the authorized priests and temple coordinators designated to perform the ritual. Devotional details are treated with reverence and are never commercialized, sold, or reused for marketing purposes.

7. Payment Verification and Relevant Financial-Record Retention

For voluntary devotional seva offerings, payment verification is conducted using user-submitted transaction references (e.g. UPI transaction IDs) and optional payment receipt screenshots to confirm that contributions reach the temple or organizing trust.

No Card Data Stored: We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVVs, or banking PINs.

Statutory Retention: In compliance with legal, taxation, and statutory accounting regulations, transaction references, donation receipts, and financial verification logs are retained for audit and legal compliance periods (typically up to 7 to 8 years as required by applicable commercial and tax laws).

8. Purposes for Processing Information

We process information solely for clear, legitimate operational and devotional purposes:

1. To accurately compute, display, and record your daily mantra counts and 108 Mala cycles.
2. To power the optional speech-recognition / voice counting feature directly on your device.
3. To synchronize your sadhana history and streaks across devices when you choose to sign in.
4. To facilitate and confirm requested voluntary Pooja Sevas.
5. To verify voluntary contributions and comply with statutory financial accounting laws.
6. To provide responsive technical support and communicate administrative updates.
7. To detect and remediate application bugs, crashes, and performance issues.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner only with reliable, industry-standard infrastructure providers that maintain strict privacy and data security standards:

• Google Play Services: Core application delivery, licensing, and Android operating system compatibility.
• Firebase Authentication (by Google): Tokenized authentication for secure Google Sign-In.
• Cloud Firestore / Google Cloud Storage: Encrypted cloud storage for synchronized account data and seva verification documents.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Anonymized crash telemetry to monitor and resolve app stability issues.

10. Advertising, Tracking, and Analytics

No Commercial Advertisements: The Naam Jap Tracker native Android application does not display third-party banner ads, popup interstitials, or video advertisements. Your meditation practice is maintained completely distraction-free.

No Cross-App Tracking: We do not track you across unrelated third-party apps or websites, and we never sell, lease, or monetize your personal information or spiritual practices with commercial advertisers or data brokers.

11. Data Security

We implement robust, industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical security safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss:

• All communications between the App and cloud services are encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
• Cloud-synchronized records are encrypted at rest on secure cloud servers.
• Strict access controls ensure that only the authenticated user can access their synchronized sadhana data.

Please note that while we employ rigorous security practices, no method of electronic transmission or cloud storage is 100% impenetrable, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

12. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Retention Timelines: Local data remains on your phone until you clear the app storage or uninstall the App. Cloud-synced data is maintained as long as your account remains active. Financial verification records are maintained for statutory periods (7–8 years) to satisfy mandatory accounting requirements.

13. Children’s Privacy

Naam Jap Tracker is a general-audience spiritual utility and is suitable for family meditation practice. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that personal data of a child has been gathered without parental consent, we will promptly delete it. 14. User Rights and Choices

You hold full control over your information:

• Access & Review: View all your lifetime counts, malas, and streak data anytime in the App.
• Data Modification: Edit your custom mantras, targets, and display settings directly.
• Guest Freedom: Disconnect or sign out to use the App completely offline in guest mode.
• Revoke Permissions: Manage or revoke Google Account permissions at any time via Google Account Security Settings.
• Permanent Erasure: Delete your cloud account and sadhana logs using the in-app option or via email.

15. International Data Transfers

The App’s cloud services are operated using globally distributed Google Cloud / Firebase data centers. By voluntarily enabling cloud synchronization, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, or country where data protection laws may differ, under robust data processing safeguards.

16. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this policy to reflect application improvements, new devotional features, or changes in applicable regulations. Any updates will be posted directly on this page with a revised “Effective Date”. For material updates, we may also provide in-app notices.
